The Shadesmar Crop Top is inspired by the cognitive realm of the Cosmere in many of Brandon Sanderson’s series. Here landscapes are inverted from thephysical realm and cities are built of ideas.

This top is knit from the bottom up. The body is knit in the round up to the underarm and the front panel and straps are then worked flat and seamed to the back.

If you are between sizes, I would recommend choosing the larger size, or the size with your desired amount of ease.

Suggested Yarn: Dk weight yarn. The yarn shown in the sample pictured here is Kenya’s Knits Marshmallow DK Select in the colorway Atium.

Yardage: 258 (294, 323, 353, 384) (423, 460, 491, 529) yds/236 (269, 296, 323, 351) (387, 421, 449, 484) m. This includes additional yardage for swatching.

Gauge: 20 sts x 28 rounds = 4×4”/10×10 cm in stockinette, worked in the round and blocked.

Suggested Needles:
US 7/4.5 mm circular needles, or needles needed to obtain gauge.

Materials: Stitch markers, cable needle, stitch holder/waste yarn, tapestry needle.

Techniques: You will need to know how to knit, purl, knit in the round, slip slip knit, knit 2 together, slip slip purl, purl 2 together, working cables, and graft with 3 needle bind off.
